Roland Nezaj is the president of Manhattan Transfer Registrar Co. with nearly 15 years of financial advisory, risk management, accounting, finance, and tax consulting. He has led over 50 projects in a wide variety of industries, including financial services, technology, construction, retail, manufacturing, health care, entertainment, and media. Roland has developed extensive expertise in business valuations, business strategy, risk management, complex tax, auditing, financial modeling and M&As.
Roland began his career at Deloitte & Touché LLP Europe as an auditor. The responsibilities ranged from planning the audits to preparing and presenting the reports to clients in different industries. He then moved to Deloitte Financial Advisory as Deputy Office Managing Partner (OMP) for the Balkan Region. In this role, Roland performed financial analysis and support for annual planning process for the Balkan Region, including Romania, Bulgari, Albania, Kosovo and Moldova. In addition, he prepared and participated in presentations to offer M&A services and develop new business. Further, he managed requests from region leadership and assisted in identifying and resolving issues. After several years in Europe, Roland joined Deloitte Financial Advisory Services in New York. In this role, Roland provided financial advisory services to major firms in Wall Street. He led and managed numerous projects in business valuations, anti-money laundering, forensics and disputes, risk management consulting, financial modelling, litigation and restructuring and M&As. Roland then moved to Citigroup Global Markets and ran calculation and reporting of the Risk Weighted Assets under Basel I for Citigroup Global Markets globally. After several years at Citigroup, Roland joined American Express where he led the credit risk regulatory reporting under Basel II framework. Roland then joined UBS Investment Bank where he led the design, development and implementation of Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) stress testing framework under the Enhanced Prudential Standards. Further, he defined business requirements for calculation and reporting of Basel II/III Risk Weighted Assets and provided guidance on design and build of Basel III data warehouse ensuring all data elements required for calculation and reporting are properly identified and sourced. Also, established data governance process and data quality check framework. Roland then joined PwC Risk Consulting practice serving capital market clients nationwide.
